Television watching savages

Tonight Jdog and I did something I have always wanted to do but have never done. We ate a chicken. Not just chicken but a rotisserie chicken. We took this rotisserie chicken and put it on a plate; took our forks a knife and some napkins and made our way to the living room; turned on jeopardy, and dug in. We are officially savages at this point. It was an interesting experience this mauling and cutting and stuffing our faces on this little burned chicken. We added in some homemade bread from the old man who shoots the squirrels. The bread was excellent as was the chicken.

And now, I am getting sucked into the drama of Survivor while I wait for Grey's. And set your Tivo's for Amazing Race on Sunday!

AI update

Oh I never updated you on Idol. We basically sat in NJ for hours waiting and waiting for Jessie to get her chance to audition. It was painful. We stay at Side Salad and Lettuce Leaf's house in NJ and leave around 445am. We finally park and get to the stadium only to stand outside until 8:15am. F'ers! We then spend the next hour and a half chanting BS like "idol. idol. idol." over and over and over again. so the whole thing is staged and we took so many takes. What we learned is that the tryouts were in NJ but paula, simon and randy are in Ny, so we had to pretend to be in NYC. there were two try outs on Tuesday and then the others would be in NY days or weeks later. So, we get to our seats which were about 6 rows back from the floor and do our chants and smile for the camera for hours and then hunker in for a long day of watching and listening to people audition. There were some really really bad people. There were some talented people as well. About midway through the waiting, we notice a pattern. They were sending through people with crazy outfits, horrible singers, black men, and did I mention horrible singers.

Jess did not have her chance to sing until 445pm at night. It sucked to wait all day. She auditioned for 20 seconds but was not the profile. F american idol!

And so it began...

So, I've started travelling again. I'm doing much less this year - with only three major trips. Last weekend was trip one - Miami. As many of you know I have new hair - not new to me just new do as its longer and froish and its now highlighted. It looks good. Anyway, I'm doing my thing enjoying the business when I make eye contact with a woman. Not uncommon - just because I have said yes to the big question does not mean my lesbian studliness has disappeared. C'mon now! So I note two things - first there is no name tag which means she is not a prospect and I dont recognize her but note that she has on a very tight dress not the sort that is particularly professional so I knew she wasnt in the business. Anyway, sister friend immediately bee lines it to my saying "hey girl, look at you and your fine self. You're hair looks fabulous. You look great." she comes up and hugs and kisses me. I say "hey how are you?" She says "great, and you look good girl." She walks away and I say to the woman next to me - "I have no idea who that is." I have no idea who that woman is to this day. I have no friggin idea. I searched that room, asked people, and it is still a mystery. Alas. So begins another season. Maybe I'll see her in another state and will let you know.
